At the tip of the Domain and the eastern edge of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Mrs Macquarie's Point was where the wife of Governor Lachlan Macquarie, Elizabeth, would often rest and take in the views of the Sydney foreshore. Mrs Macquaire's Chair, otherwise known as Lady Macquarie's Chair, provides one of the best vantage points in Sydney.
