Travelling by Train
The main terminal for long-distance and intercity trains is Central Railway Station. Railway travel
is operated at a state level and the national body (Rail Australia) oversees operations. Train travel
is cheaper than airfares but the journey times are significantly longer. Trains run to most cities
regularly.
