Getting Around SydneyBy Bus
These easily recognisable blue and white state buses operate in most parts of the city
and suburbs. Journeys are measured in sections and fares are calculated according to
the number of sections travelled.
For inner city travel you can expect to pay at least $A1.50 and
up to $A4.60, depending on your destination.
It is an efficient network with
the major bus stations at Circular Quay and Central railway station. There are also
Nightrider services that operate after midnight when the normal bus and train services
stop operating.
Tickets can be purchased from the driver, newsagents or Transport InfoKiosks located throughout the city.
Special discounts are available if you purchase Travel Passes.
